Ilana Khononov, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, treating clients of all ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses. Ilana discovered her passion for psychiatry during her undergraduate years at New York University. During this time, she did numerous volunteerships and internships at premier New York institutions, including Bellevue Hospital's inpatient child-and adolescent psychiatry unit, Child Studies Center Selective Mutism program, and Mt. Sinai's mood disorders research clinic. She received her bachelor of arts in Psychology and Child-Adolescent Studies and pursued additional coursework in speech-language pathology.  To further understand the human body and mind, Ilana continued on to NYU Rory Meyers School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. She practiced as a nurse for 4 years at NYP-Weill Cornell Hospital, whilst gaining an advanced psychiatric- mental health nurse practitioner degree. She continued on to serve New Yorkers at an outpatient mental health clinic, diagnosing and treating clients of all ages and diagnoses.
